The stuggl3 was due to playing the top most veteran teams almost every other day. That's uncalled for. The wnba new a year a head were Caitlin was going . So gave then the hardest schedule. Wnba I guess nit trying to grow. Look at the Olympic results. Lowest attendance.
I've seen the same thing Evolving in one of the Biggest Sporting events in the World... the Ryder Cup. Started out with 10 players making it on Merit and 2 Captains' Picks. Now the Captain gets 4 picks which has drawn criticism for turning it into a Boys' Club. Picks made thinking who might enhance the Team Room environment.. who had a good partnership with another player in a 2 man Team event. The idea was sold primarily for picking some players who had not met the 2 yr qualification standard... but were currently on Hot Streaks. Unfortunately... I've seen players getting Hot and not get picked. It almost appears like... we know we're going to get beat in Europe... so let's just get all our friends together and have a good time. At some point you have to start thinking about bringing in New Blood to get some experience. Case in point... the Europeans picked Ludvig Aberg... fresh out of College... had not yet played in a Major Championship and had an outstanding Ryder Cup. It's called Forward Thinking and Marketing. Another example... the first Olympic mens' "Dream Team" (allowing Professionals) picked Christian Laettner who had not yet played an NBA Game... and it was universally thought that another College player (Shaquille O'Neal) would make a better Pro than Christian. But after catching a Full Court inbound pass... Christian made a last second shot to win the NCAA Championship and it made him a Household Name. Catlin came from winning a grueling NCAA Championship... and went straight into the WNBA onto a Bad Team. With little time to Practice and possibly the most difficult Schedule... it was a Far Cry from the well Oiled and Experienced Iowa Team she led. The Fever are getting so much better as they learn to play together allowing Catlin to display her Skills. Will be interesting to see how the Landscape changes in the next four years. I think people saw the Cracks in this Olympic Team when the WNBA "Select" team beat them a few weeks ago. If I were Catlin... I'd be glad I didn't get picked to go to Paris. Blasphemy in the opening Ceremonies... Athletes leaving the Olympic Village in Droves due to uncomfortable Beds... shortages of Toilet Paper (2 bathrooms for 10 people) their "Thermal Cooling" systems just don't do an adequate job.. short supply of food and it's questionable quality. And finally... a Man Brutally beating up Women in a Boxing Ring. The French Olympic Committee Members really know how to Spoil a Celebration. But the Golf was good... great weather and 30,000 Spectators everyday... all 4 Days (not sure about practice days)

I've seen the same thing Evolving in one of the Biggest Sporting events in the World... the Ryder Cup. Started out with 10 players making it on Merit and 2 Captains' Picks. Now the Captain gets 4 picks which has drawn criticism for turning it into a Boys' Club. Picks made thinking who might enhance the Team Room environment.. who had a good partnership with another player in a 2 man Team event. The idea was sold primarily for picking some players who had not met the 2 yr qualification standard... but were currently on Hot Streaks. Unfortunately... I've seen players getting Hot and not get picked. It almost appears like... we know we're going to get beat in Europe... so let's just get all our friends together and have a good time. At some point you have to start thinking about bringing in New Blood to get some experience. Case in point... the Europeans picked Ludvig Aberg... fresh out of College... had not yet played in a Major Championship and had an outstanding Ryder Cup. It's called Forward Thinking and Marketing. Another example... the first Olympic mens' "Dream Team" (allowing Professionals) picked Christian Laettner who had not yet played an NBA Game... and it was universally thought that another College player (Shaquille O'Neal) would make a better Pro than Christian. But after catching a Full Court inbound pass... Christian made a last second shot to win the NCAA Championship and it made him a Household Name. Catlin came from winning a grueling NCAA Championship... and went straight into the WNBA onto a Bad Team. With little time to Practice and possibly the most difficult Schedule... it was a Far Cry from the well Oiled and Experienced Iowa Team she led. The Fever are getting so much better as they learn to play together allowing Catlin to display her Skills. Will be interesting to see how the Landscape changes in the next four years. I think people saw the Cracks in this Olympic Team when the WNBA "Select" team beat them a few weeks ago. If I were Catlin... I'd be glad I didn't get picked to go to Paris. Blasphemy in the opening Ceremonies... Athletes leaving the Olympic Village in Droves due to uncomfortable Beds... shortages of Toilet Paper (2 bathrooms for 10 people) their "Thermal Cooling" systems just don't do an adequate job.. short supply of food and it's questionable quality. And finally... a Man Brutally beating up Women in a Boxing Ring. The French Olympic Committee Members really know how to Spoil a Celebration. But the Golf was good... great weather and 30,000 Spectators everyday... all 4 Days (not sure about practice days)
